BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One Review
When it comes to the BabyBjörn Carrier One, first impressions are everything, man.
For example, I remember the first time that I tried wasabi. Completely oblivious to what it was, my initial bite was a BIG forkful, which clearly was a BIG mistake. It also somehow ended up in my eye, which was painful as it sounds. I didn’t touch wasabi for years after that. To me, it was uncomfortable, and not a good look.
Now, to be honest, the same way that I felt about wasabi, was the same way that I felt about baby carriers. See, our first carrier was an old, used one, and I wasn’t a fan of it as soon as I put it on. It was uncomfortable, and not a good look. It turned me off of carriers for years…..
Until my good friends at BabyBjörn hooked me up with a Baby Carrier One!
After using this bad boy for a few weeks now, I can honestly say that the BabyBjörn Carrier One was a real game-changer for me.
For example, my back felt sore after a few minutes with my old carrier on. However, because the Baby Carrier One is ergonomic, I feel fine every time that I wear it. As well, I really like the soft, thick shoulder straps. The straps in my old one weren’t nearly as well designed, and dug into my arms. I should also say that it’s pretty easy to use. My old one required a lot of reaching behind me and stretching, to properly put it on. I’m just not that flexible anymore, dude, so I’m down for slipping the BabyBjörn Carrier One over my head, buckling up appropriately, and being good to go.
The wide head rest and seating seem to make for easy, comfy riding for KJ, as well. He appeared to be content (for a while) and well-supported when being lugged around in it.
I’m not just talking from an in-facing position, either. The Baby Carrier One is designed to carry your child inwards, outwards, or on your back, depending on their age. Speaking of that, it is surprising to see that it to safely handles newborns up to approximately three year olds! BabyBjörn ain’t lying when they say that’s it the only one that you need.
So, yeah, my experience using the Baby Carrier One has opened up such a whole new world, that I’m feeling like Peabo Bryson now (get it?). Bad Aladdin analogy aside, who knew that carriers could be so stylish, comfortable, and versatile? Definitely not I, that’s for sure.
Truth be told, my opinion is heavily skews positively. There is no comparison to my various carrier experiences. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Even NHL superstar Connor McDavid thinks this thing is dope!
Ok, seriously, if you’re in the market for a carrier, do your research. I’m sure you’ll see that the Baby Carrier One is a premium product that’s worth your money. I’m also sure that your first impression of it will be better than my wasabi experience.
Don’t forget to check out BabyBjörn’s latest #dadstories campaign, by the way. I’m on board with any company that understands the evolving role of fatherhood, and promotes the power of “dads inspiring dads.”

My experience with baby carriers hasn’t been pleasant. Mind you this was many moons ago. When my son was a baby, I was walking along with him in a carrier and all of a sudden the straps came loose and he went falling to the ground. Thankfully I had quick reflexes and was able to catch him before he hit the concrete. Yeah – was a really scary situation.
I actually never had the experience of babywearing with my two girls unfortunately but if I could turn back time, that is one thing I wish I would have changed. I see others babywear and not only is it easier with your hands being free but that close bond that you experience as well is so precious
Never ever experienced a baby carrier, maybe when I was a baby my mom used one to carry me, but I don’t recall. I have seen them around being used in the city, but not a lot. It’s definitely useful!
the baby carriers have improved over the years since my children were born
I used my sister’s baby carrier for my niece. It seemed clunky and awkward. I hope they have improved since then (10 Years ago).
I am expecting my first child in a few weeks and I’m currently comparing baby carriers. To decide what to buy. Thanks for the review. I want to find something that would be good for both myself and my partner.
I have not experienced the baby carriers with my two children. I would have loved to have something like this when my kids were little.
I think baby carriers are great, they work well and come in handy sometimes.
I love carrying my 8.5 month old. Baby wearing is our go to method for festivals, park trips, fairs, etc
I love baby carriers and used them with my two kids. I used a sling type and the Wrap mei tei kind. Although it worked well, I’m looking for something that is more padded.
I find baby carriers are convenient and practical, but only if the baby will tolerate being in one (my son always fussed the entire time he was in his carrier!).
I would love to win this for my niece having a baby – it was a lifesaver for me when I colicky baby. My daughter was settled in her baby carrier and I was able to have the free hands to do other things.
I had multiples and used a baby bjorn. I carried one in carrier (in the front) and another like a football to the side. The third had to wait to take their turn 😉

completely agree with the review of the Carrier One – i remember their carrier from 6 years ago, with the latch in the back – how f’n easy is this to get on?!
good luck to everyone who enters, you’re getting the best carrier, IMO, out there.
and in mesh! come on, now!!
realness!
loved the Peabo reference BTW
They are so convenient!
for myself I always felt that they hurt my back, found they dug into my flabby arms , and being large chested BEFORE a child, I found the added weight horrible. I had one of the forward carrying ones for newborns that was sorta ok except your boobs are triple the size they had been before. YEP, thats my honest opinion LOL
Love being so close to my baby and handsfree lol.
This would be a great experience a I do not own a carrier yet
i like them since I can be more hands free. some feel a little painful on the shoulders though
I have never used a baby carrier
We love carriers since our baby boy Emmett is nice and snug against my chest when I put him in a wrap. It would be nice to have a carrier that my husband could wear comfortably and yet fashionable.
I lovw your realistic view on carriers and their pro’s and con’s!
My husband is much taller than I am so we are looking for a versatile carrier!
Thanks for the great review!
we had a carrier that we used on our backs which had an aluminum frame. Our children loved it. We are looking for this for our Granddaughter to have the same fun
Love babywearing. I use a structured one for going out and an unstructured one for around the home but partner has the same issue as you wrt flexibility of buckles in the back.
